On Thursday, February 27 The Gathering hosted a demonstration outside the JC Bistro for Shine A Light On Slavery Day to bring awareness to the issue of slavery, and what an amazing day it was! Our campus responded in a HUGE way and raised their voices to say that slavery is wrong and we will not stand for it! Hundreds of students joined the fight by drawing the Red X on their hands and raising awareness. GMU is in it to END IT! It was a great way to end a huge week, and it was just the beginning of what God is going to do on this campus to end slavery all of the world. If you weren’t able to be there, check out our photo recap.
Due to the inclement and hazardous weather conditions, The Gathering will not be meeting tonight. Please stay safe and enjoy the snow!
